This sky, this city … Places that speak to us without us always really understanding why.

This morning I came across this picture on my Instagram feed.

A photo, all at once: of a city that I know, and of an Instagram account that I also know, since, without necessarily interacting with its owner, I have been following it for a while now.

Every morning, every day and every season of the year, a photo of this location and view in the city is posted.

This morning again, I let myself be dazzled.

This sky, this city.

Even far away, I feel, like every time, in the space of a few moments, like literally “inside them”, inside this whole, inside this atmosphere.

This sky, this city.

Even physically far away, in a few moments, at least spiritually, I am constantly and instantaneously, as if relocated, detached from the ground, redirected, caught up, enveloped, immersed in this strange but so familiar atmosphere.

I would like one day, myself, to better understand all the underlying elements relating to this attraction.

Life, places, moments, feelings, memories, words, questions, and so many other things, it's also that.

This city is located in the Netherlands, on the edge of a lake, the Markermeer, in the northeast of the province of North Holland, in the historical region of West Friesland.

In the section of my photographic portfolio, entitled "Cities", I reserve a series about it.

A series, which I hope, over time will continue to grow, developp and tell itself.

Voilà, I wanted this morning to share these few thoughts with you, inspired and recalled by a photograph of a place that speaks to me a lot, without me always understanding why.

And you? Do you have one or more places, in particular, that speak to you and thus attract you?

Even if perhaps: you have never been there (yet), nor are you from there either, for example?
